Section of the site showing the varying heights of each device and the terrain.
THE WIND DEVICEThis device is of simple construction. Using PVC pipes cut to height according to the age of the country it represents, it informs the user of the country’s age as well as its origin. The PVC pipe “stem” shall be coloured white. At the top end of this PVC pipe, a turbine driven by wind is attached to the pipe using a simple nut-and-bolt assembly.
The project is organized into seven rows, each representing one continent of the planet Earth. |
DEVICE ASSEMBLY
The main part of this grouping of windmills are the “petals” that form one turbine. The turbine will be composed of eight petals that are made out of coloured, weatherproof acetate sheets.
Each device represents one sovereign state in the planet. The petal colours will be based in the colour of their flag. It is suggested that the community partake in the assembly of each wind turbine. After installation take down The devices can be disassembled and stored easily. |
